Lord of the Flies was a 1990 American thriller film adapted from the classic novel Lord of the Flies written by William Golding. It is the second film adaptation of the book, the first being the 1963 film Lord of the Flies. It’s one of the most famous dystopian novels about a group of British boys stuck on an uninhabited island who try to govern themselves with disastrous results.
The novel was chosen by TIME magazine as one of the 100 best English-language novels but as a film it made only $13.9 million at the box office with mixed reviews from critics.
